Zero waste Network


Our idea for a cleaner world; reduce, reuse, recycle, just made easy



We want to develop a sustainable network in order to discourage undifferentiated waste delivery.

The Zero Waste Network is composed by three different elements:

Zero Waste:


The Eco-Compactor Island, fully automatic, it can be equipped to collect a various type of waste such as aluminium, PET plastic bottles, PP, PE, PVC, PS, domestic batteries, glass bottles.

Eco-Compactor for the environment:

what is it capable of ?

The Eco-Compactor Island, collect differentiated waste (in this way, all recycling process can be easier) it is capable of reward its users, it can signal when it needs to be emptied (reducing CO2 by waste transport) and it can be used as an advertising space for this new philosophy.


In the Eco-Point with manual direct collection

method, is a reverse store capable to collect

bulky waste (such as exhaust batteries).

This kind of waste need a direct contact between

the bearer/customer and the collectors.

Eco-Point can gather greater volumes, and as it

happend with the Eco-Compactors, the

bearer/customer can be rewarded with coupon(s)

or money (according to the quantity and unit

value of the inserted waste)


Zero Waste:


The Eco-Point can also collect various kind of

broken electronic material, such as small

appliances, phones, PC cards and other material

that contains microchips or electronic parts.

The user/consumer brings the material directly to

the Eco-Point and the employee will determine the

value of the e-waste according to type, the

quantity and unit value of the brought things

Eco-Point(s) and Eco-Market(s) can be a great

help for the agricultural communities.

They can sell their products (milk, eggs, etc.)

through the Eco-Market network.

At the same time they can get

(at a bargain price) the organic

fertilized soil produced from the

wet waste collected through the

Eco-Point(s) network.


It can also collect household organic waste to be sent to a facility, which could also process all the food processing industry waste (such as fruit peels, scrap of slaughter, grain chaff, etcetera)

In this kind of implant, specific anaerobic bacteria can process and digest the bio-matter to obtain bio-gas (primarily methane), and a fertilizer;

This fertilized soil can be an importantresource for all the farms near the city.

This service, requires biodegradable bags which can be delivered to the user directly at the Eco-Point; this bags can be used to insert the biodegradable wet waste which will be brought to the Eco-Point.

The wet waste will be evaluated as a resource; the

bearer/customer will be rewarded according to the

quantity and unit value of the delivered wet waste.

Zero Waste:


Eco-Markets are selling point of commonly used

products without packaging, and food.

They can be automated vending machine, directly managed by the consumer, or become real "mini stores" thanks to the presence of personnel who directly sell bulk product allowing cost savings to the consumer and avoiding the use of containers.



The Eco-Market, can work partly in automatic mode and partly with the presence of an employee, it has been primarily developed to reduce the amount of plastic container used by common consumer for some simple products (such as household and personal cleaning products).

what is it capable of ?


The Eco-Market, is a peculiar selling point, here all the users can spend the reward they have collected by bringing their waste to the Eco-Compactor and Eco-Point.


Here the users can find a wide range of product (such as cleaning product and the “Eco-Network fertilizer”) to be bought by using their own containers (less wasted containers, and less CO2 to transport them).

Here the users could also find a selection of locally produced goods (shorter transport network, lower CO2 emission)

what it can be done ?



With the “Eco-Network”, the delivery of general and undifferentiated waste can be gradually replaced with the differentiated one thanks to the rewarding which every single user can obtain by the Eco-Compactor, the Eco-Point and the Eco-Markete network; a little incentive that wasn't there before.



All citizens will be progressively able to understand that the general and undifferentiated waste delivery will not be rewarded; it will be disposed of with ordinary "waste disposal company" and it will become just a cost.


In undifferentiated "waste collection areas" (near the generic bins) it will be explained to the users that the delivered waste has no value but only cost.


It will also be indicated the advantages of the use of "Eco-Network" waste collection system (and its rewarding mechanism) besides the position of Eco-Compactor(s), Eco-Point(s) and Eco-Market(s) and street names where they are installed.



Anyway there could always be a fraction of all the collected waste that can’t be correctly processed and recycled.


These part (which we hope will become smaller and smaller) will have to be sent to an incinerator.


All the incineration process has a cost, a variable amount of energy is required to guarantee a sufficiently high temperature to obtain the best possible combustion.


Part of this energy can be harvested from the methane produced by the anaerobic bacteria in the household organic waste processing facility.
